        紐約洋基與波士頓紅襪這兩支死對頭，今天進行系列賽的最後一場比賽，兩隊八局打完仍以5比5戰成平手，然而洋基A-Rod在九局上再次扮演殺手的角色，在紅襪守護神派柏本手中敲出一支超前的陽春砲，再靠著李維拉的強力救援，終場洋基就以6比5後來居上擊敗了紅襪，在系列賽中取得2勝1負的優勢。
